Volkswagen showed the concept of an electric car, which will be released in 2021

VW demonstrated the first images of the new ID.

The concept is called Space Vizzion, it is planned to be presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show in two weeks.

Unlike most electric car concepts, the VW ID family plays an important role as they serve as the basis for mass-produced electric vehicles.

Until today, only the ID.3 electrified hatchback has been presented in the lineup. Its production has already been launched, the German automaker plans first deliveries next year. They will be oriented towards the European market, where more stringent exhaust emission requirements will come into force starting in 2020.

“ID. SPACE VIZZION is tomorrow’s station wagon for which combines aerodynamic performance with the capacity of an SUV. The visual style of SPACE VIZZION follows the design of the ID family, but nevertheless has an independent and progressive character” – Volkswagen.

At the moment, nothing is known about the technical characteristics of the electric car, except for its power reserve, which is up to 590 kilometers.

“The ID range has shown that electric cars are possible in any category. With ID. SPACE VIZZION we are creating a new, all-electric segment” – says Volkswagen Design Director Klaus Bischoff.

Later, the German manufacturer announced that it plans to bring out a working version of the ID. SPACE VIZZION entered the market at the end of 2021. The model will debut in various versions for the USA, Europe and China.
