In California, the long-awaited presentation of Tesla Cybertruck took place. Sales of the model will start in 2021. The first Tesla pickup shocked the public and this is not an exaggeration.

The name of the car is very consistent with an electric car, because Tesla Cybertruck looks like a hero of science fiction films. It has a chopped design and a pronounced wedge-shaped profile.

The Tesla electric car reaches 5885 mm in length, 2027 mm in width and 1905 mm in height. The body is made of very strong steel (this was even demonstrated with a sledgehammer).

The cargo platform is covered with a special lid: its length is 1980 mm, and the volume is 2835 liters. Pickup truck carrying capacity – 1585 kg.

The cabin will fit six people. Like all Tesla, the pickup truck received a large touchscreen, but it does not have a dashboard. Also noteworthy is the fancy steering wheel.

Five Tesla Cybertruck pickup innovations

Tesla Cybertruck pickup can be safely called the most sensational novelty of the year. The electric car not only shocked the automotive community, but also collected 200 thousand pre-orders in three days.

However, the new Tesla Cybertruck is able to surprise not only with a stunning design, dynamics at the level of supercars or a power reserve of up to 800 km. In his arsenal – a whole set of innovations.

Bulletproof glass

At the presentation, Elon Musk shocked the audience with a pickup test for strength. And even though the glass cracked from a sledgehammer, it is very durable and can withstand, for example, a metal ball. By the way, the body of the Cybertruck is made of the same steel 3 mm thick as the SpaceX spacecraft.

Solar panels

As an option, Tesla Cybertruck will offer solar panels on the lid of the loading platform. Elon Musk said that they will be able to provide an additional 24 km of power reserve. And with optional retractable wing panels, it turned out even 48-65 km.

Mobile power station

Pickup Tesla – not only a fashion car, but also a workhorse. It will be possible to connect special equipment like an electric saw or a jackhammer to it – the battery charge is enough for this.

ATV in the back

The ATV shown at the Tesla Cybertruck presentation will be an option for a pickup truck. Moreover, Elon Musk said that he would be able to recharge from a pickup truck.

Autopilot

Autopilot – a signature feature of all Tesla and Cybertruck in this regard – is no exception. So far, no pick-up on the market has such an option.
